Great Action in the Morning
Lots of Bonitos, a Mackerel and a Kingfish.
Kept everyone busy
Took my niece and nephews out for a quick trip in the afternoon
Released a bunch of Bonitos, and got some Mackerel
and even a couple of Yellowtail snapper for dinner

No Fishing Today!
Family in town so we took a day off and went to Boca Grande. It’s a “Locals Spot” we go to relax and just enjoy being in the Keys
Just pull the boat up on the beach.
Fortunately the water drops off quickly
so the propellers are in deep water and
I can just power off when we are ready to go home
This early in the year the water is still refreshing.
Day like this are why I love living in the Keys

Full Day Today
We went out deep looking for Dolphin.
It was pretty slow, but we got a few. We came back inshore late in the day to look for some “bites”
Released a Barracuda
Lots of fun with Big Barracudas inshore.
They pull hard and fight all the way to the boat

Very Windy Today!
Wind was blowing out of the South at 24kts with Gusts to 27, ( that’s 27 mph with gusts of 31mhp for you landlubbers). That’s pretty Rough or “Sporty” as we prefer to call it. We decided to go in the Gulf which would be much calmer.
We caught and released about 7-8 Barracuda

The Family was just looking for a fun fishing experience for their 3 well behaved, very polite and very enjoyable sons. I get lots of children on the boat and not having any of my own, it’s not for me to criticize how people raise theirs. but when you do get good kids like these on the boat, it really is a pleasure.

Had a fun day today. Found a school of dolphin and broke out the spinning tackle. Great action on the lighter gear and great eating sized fish.

Once we got on the fish it was non-stop action today. We kept a few shy or our limit and threw quite a few back. We could have caught more, but the customers said that they had enough and were happy, so we came in early

Strong South Wind Today.
It would have been pretty rough on the Ocean side of Key West
so we opted to fish the Gulf and it was the right call as
the Barracuda were biting and the boys had a blast!!

Nice Bull DolphinCaught this fish out deep near the “drop off”.
We were fishing in about 800 ft of water.
If we went about another mile South , the water gets close to 1,600 foot deep
