Same conditions as yesterday

but the results were a little different. Yesterday, the Yellow Snapper were biting well, The Live bait came up relatively easy and we saw a Sailfish almost as soon as we started fishing for one. But the results were different today. Still a chilly north wind. There is still a few Ballyhoo on the reef, (finally). The Yellow Tail Snapper were not biting as well. The water was a bit clearer, which may have had that effect on them. We did manage to get enough Yellow Tails for dinner and enough live Ballyhoo to slow troll with. Unfortunately, we never saw a sailfish.

We finished up back on the reef

and released a nice Black Grouper. It would have been legal size, but the season is closed, so we released it. We caught a nice King Mackerel and a Cero Mackerel. We did have a much bigger King Mackerel on but lost it at the boat.

Black Grouper caught and released in Key West on the reef fishing with Southbound Sportfishing

One big difference between today

and yesterday was how my customers felt. Yesterday, both were feeling a little seasick. Neither had taken any seasick meds. I told them to buy some over the counter meds and to take one at bedtime and one first thing in the morning. This is the most effective way to take most seasick medications. It gets it in your system and then reinforces it in the morning. Both customers felt absolutely fine today and the seas were probably a bit bigger than yesterday.
