The weather is great and there are still dolphin offshore to be caught. We’ve been fishing out deep most days. Usually between 400 and 700ft of water. There have been Sargasso weed lines of various sizes all throughout those depths. Plenty of places to troll along. The trick is to find which weed line is holding fish. Some days, you can have two great looking lines of Sargasso weed just a few hundred yards apart. One will have plenty of fish and one will not have any. I wish I knew why.
We worked a couple of lines heading south until we started catching fish. Once we got a couple, we stuck with that line. It was not red hot, but there were a couple of decent fish and plenty of action with “throwback” dolphin for a 6 hr trip.
