We managed to pick at a some good fish

It was a bit “Sporty” off shore, but we all had a good time

Started the day with a nice Barracuda

A little breezy in the afternoon
so we found a very calm spot and had action
with some smaller fish on light tackle
Snapper fishing on the Reef this morning
Got our limit of tasty yellow tails
and gray snappers in a half day

We went snapper fishing and it was pretty good!
The Fish were right up behind the boat in the chum
We got our limit of delicious Yellow Tails and Mangro Snappers

Also got some Barracudas and some smaller Dolphin

and fishing was tough.
Fished a couple of wrecks and trolled for quite a bit

released a Sailfish on Spinning tackle
Kept a few for dinner and released a few dolphin

We have been fishing pretty far offshore by Key West Standards. This picture was taken 23 miles southwest of Key West.
The water is about 2,000ft deep.That’s where the dolphin, (mahi) have been.
Fortunately, the seas have been calm and the weather has been beautiful

Looking for a Shark in the afternoon and didn’t find one
We did get some nice barracudas
And a Monster Yellow Tail Snapper!

We had to go WAY, WAY offshore. Finally found some weed and some fish

Went offshore for a full day today
and were very glad we did!
52lb bull dolphin!
We didn’t get a lot of bites, but the fish we caught were all nice ones
The 52 lb Dolphin is my biggest Dolphin this year

Trolling was very slow yesterday, so we snapper fished today
We got our limit (20) of Yellow Tails in a half day and released a barracuda

Inshore fishing has slowed down. Only released on Barracuda
